On July 13th, FCSN showcased their production of “Super Mario Bros with a Twist” at their annual Summer Drama Camp, held from July 10 to July 12 at the FCSN Fremont Center. The camp allowed participants to engage in auditions, act in diverse roles, and collaborate with others, including other participants and student volunteers. Drama Camp Performs Another Exciting Play โ€œDespicable Me (With a Twist)โ€

Have you ever seen a play performed by children with special needs? Ms. Anna Wang, the founder of FCSN, created the FCSN drama camp for children with special needs 12 years ago. In the last 12 years, the drama camp has performed various themed shows, such as Zootopia, Cars, Finding Nemo, and many more. This year, the FCSN drama camp was held from July 26th to July 29th, revolving around the theme of โ€œDespicable Meโ€ and led by Camp and Play Directors Kelly Ko and Penny Sapkunmongkun. Storytelling Through Art: Spotlight on FCSNโ€™s Landscape Painting Class

As the summer sun bathes the cozy Chenming & Margaret Hu Center in a warm glow, young artists gather around the palettes and paints, eager for another day of imagination and relaxation. Led by Mishika Agarwal, FCSNโ€™s Landscape Painting Class has become a cherished weekly event for both students and volunteers alike. FCSN Youth Volunteer Aarav Sharma Engages Special Needs Students in Programming and Pre-Algebra

During the past couple years, Archbishop Mitty High School Sophomore Aarav Sharma taught a 12 week Scratch Language class and a week long Pre-Algebra summer camp for FCSN students with the hopes of helping special needs students pursue STEM in the future. Sharma’s previous experience with Scratch has given him the experience needed to help guide his students through the language and create an efficient curriculum for his class.
