I went to Ed Levin County Park for Family Fishing Day. The weather was cloudy, and not really hot. I gotย to the park yesterday at 8:45am and checked in first.

I had a training session with a coach. He helped me put on hooks and baits.

๐Ÿ“ธ: The coach taught me how to put on hooks. The hooks were very sharp.

He also taught me to swing the rod forward smoothly. It was hard to swing out.

๐Ÿ“ธ: I held a fishing pole and I hit the lake with a pole.

I also learned to adjust the strings.

๐Ÿ“ธ: The coach taught me how to make a longer string.

At 9:30am I started fishing. I used fishing poles and baits. I stood there for a long time but I didn’t catch any fish. I felt very sad.

At 10:30am I had Nature Education. I learned that we should not dump the trash anywhere because it pollutes our favoriteย fishing area.

At 11:00am we had BBQ Lunch. I made my hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes and ketchup. I also had BBQ chips. After eating I felt very happy.

In this event I also met my friends. I enjoyed learning how to fish.ย

  1. haha I know that feeling of the rod being hard to swing right. Took me forever to get the hang of it when I first started.

The cloudy weather actually sounds perfect for fishing though, way better than baking in the sun all day.
