My Birthday Party

MomΒ orderedΒ a cake at Nob Hill on Wednesday.

Dad bought the party food at Costco on Friday.

Mom and I used Evite to send the invitation to the guests.

We used a Google spreadsheet for the party planning, including counting the guests, food, and songs.

On Sunday morning I cleaned the courtyard to get ready for the guests to come.

I put the ribbons on the light next to the gate and next to the window.

Dad and I helped carry the table and computer to the barn for the dance.

Then, I put the balloon on the gazebo and barn.

Mom cooked spare ribs with taros, roasted vegetables, salad, rice noodles with steamed prawns, salmon, and tofu salad.Β

Dad roasted potatoes.

We prepared lunch and made finger food.

Guests came to our house for the party.

I was happy because I got an orchid plant, a strawberry plant, a cross, a wooden case, an apron, and jars as birthday gifts.

The strawberry plant was in the gazebo, cross in my room, and apron in the kitchen.

We are going to use the jar for the salt and pepper.Β

We are going to use the wooden cheeseboard for the party.

Auntie Cheng Ying brought shrimp.

Amadies brought meat buns.

Auntie Jing brought a duck.

Sherry brought vegetables.Β

Ms. Lei brought a fish.

Wang Hong brought meat and bamboo shoots and glass noodles with peanuts.

Auntie Marta brought curry.

We closed our eyes and prayed for the food.

The seniors and friends were getting food.

After lunch we did Party Rock, YMCA, Chicken dance, and Macarena.

We played pool table.

At the end we celebrated my birthday.

I was excited to celebrate my birthday.

Hosting Party On Saturday

On Saturday morning I cleaned the courtyard and watered the plants to get ready for the guests to come.

Dad and I set up the table and chairs.

Mom steamed spare ribs with taros, salad, roasted vegetables, and tofu salad.

Dad roasted potatoes.

We prepared lunch and finger food.

At noon the guests arrived at our house.

Samantha brought tofu with pork and a bottle of wine.

Uncle Bo brought fresh crabs from Half Moon Bay.

We took a walk at the fruit orchard.

We had lunch in the playroom.

After lunch I played UNO cards with the boys Aiden and Adrian who are 6 years old, while parents were talking at the table.

Mom brought the keyboard piano in the kitchen for Adrian to play the songs.

I played the songs Mary Had A Little Lamb, Chinese Folk Tales, Happy Birthday, and This Old Man.

We were chatting and eating. Everyone had a good time and they stayed until 5pm.

My favorite activity was hosting the party.
