(Context: On Thursday Momβs coworker Rui was coming to visit us.)
I cut some roses and arranged them in a vase.
Mom was setting up the bed.
Rui came to our house for dinner.
She brought us flowers.
We were able to use the flowers for the party decorations the next day too.

On Saturday we hosted a party among our new neighbors.
I cut some strawberries and tomatoes for the salad.
The neighbors brought flowers.
Donna brought a big vase, Darcy and Cree brought a bottle of wine, and Zoe, Jeff, and Lena brought a jar of local honey!
Joe and Jan brought artichoke frittata.
I picked some basil from our garden to make Caprese salad.
Mom made a cheeseboard with salami, almonds, grapes, cheese, crackers, and olives on the wooden board.
The caprese salad, deviled eggs, and mango pudding looked colorful and beautiful.
Dad fried the pot stickers, roasted chicken wings, and potatoes.
I brought mango pudding out of the refrigerator to serve them.
Then, I picked the mint leaves from our courtyard to decorate the mango pudding.
Mom decorated the mango pudding with mint leaves, mango cubes, and blueberries on top.

They looked colorful and elegant.
I felt excited to host a party.
It was wonderful to meet some of our new neighbors in person for the first time.

On Sunday we had a block party with our old neighbors.
We brought salad to the block party.
Mom mixed all the ingredients before serving the salad.

People were watching the Neighborhood Watch sign.
I felt happy because I have not seen our old neighbors for a long time.
It was a very busy few days but I was excited because it was so wonderful to have parties with both our new and old neighbors.

(Context: On Friday evening I attended the FCSN annual Art Exhibition which was hosted by FCSN.)
All the artworks were done by FCSN students.
They were very impressive.
Last year, my colored pencil drawings were displayed.
This year, I have two polymer clay sculptures on display.
One sculpture was named βPeripheralβ and the other sculpture was named βPitch for a Bright Futureβ.

The Fremont Mayors and a few other politicians were attending the event.
I liked the artist Jay Shahβs oil painting of Twin Otters.
The FCSN staff prepared finger food. There were grapes, tomato, salami, olive, cheese, and bread sticks.

My art teacher, Daphne, and I took pictures together in front of my artwork.

I felt excited to attend the Art Exhibition and liked the finger food and I felt proud of my artwork.
I will work hard on my artwork for the Art Exhibition next year.
