Youth Volunteer Trains FCSN Staff In Graphic Design

A Harker Academy high school senior who came to FCSN to teach computer skills one-on-one to special needs clients found himself this fall with a classroom full of FCSN staff members, eager to learn graphic design. Eighteen FCSN staff members met weekly over Zoom for 10 weeks in a Train-the-Trainer class developed by Eric Zhu with the goal of improving presentations and direct instruction to clients. SNTutoring: From 13 to 160+ 1:1 Virtual Tutoring Matches

Previously known as the Flexible Subject Tutoring Program, this year round 1-on-1 tutoring program enables youth volunteers to connect with special needs students virtually and support them in a variety of academic and non-academic topics, ranging from STEM, drawing, board games, music, and sports.
