IT IS HAPPENING!! Upon completion of the renovation of our new center at the end of 2023, FCSN will transform it into a headquarters, encompass service expansions and new program developments to meet the evolving needs of the individuals and families we serve. EXPANDING OUR DREAM reflects FCSN’s commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence in providing support and services to individuals with special needs.

VIBRANT COMMUNITY CENTER:

FCSN will bridge the gap between the general population and individuals with special needs by fostering meaningful connections through community events, art exhibitions, music festivals, classes, workshops, and seminars to promote understanding, empathy, breaking down barriers, embracing all abilities and appreciating cultural diversity.

CHILDCARE SERVICE EXPANSION:

FCSN will increase the capacity of the After School Program from 20 to 40 students by obtaining a child day care license. This crucial expansion will enable us to create a nurturing and supportive environment, offering holistic enrichment activities tailored to the unique needs of our special children so they can increase independence, improve overall functioning skills, and reach maximum potential.

SOCIAL RECREATION PROGRAM EXPANSION:

FCSN will seek vendorization (government funding) for our Social Recreation Program. This program delivers much happiness to our children and adults by promoting friendship and self-confidence through fun engaging activities. The camps and clubs will help individuals develop their talents in music, arts, science and sports. We expect to serve more than 500 individuals at the center.

ADULT DAY PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:

FCSN will establish a brand new Adult Day Program to serve up to 75 adults with special needs. The new holistic program emphases on community integration, vocational training, living skills training, emotional stability, socialization and life enrichment tailored to their unique aspirations, interests and choices so they can maximize learning, foster independence, discover hidden talents, thrive and contribute vibrantly in today’s world.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM EXPANSION:

FCSN will expand the Employment Program to empower individuals to strengthen vocational skills, overcome employment barriers and successfully secure employment or paid internship opportunities align with their career aspirations. FCSN utilizes a person-centered approach tailored to individual’s preferences, unique needs and job skills. FCSN provides comprehensive job skill training and offers job coaching services to help individuals build confidence, thrive in the workforce, and achieve and sustain financial independence.

OUTREACH AND EMPOWER FAMILIES:

Raising a child with special needs is a complex and demanding journey, but add to it language barriers, cultural shame, and stigma, the challenges are overwhelming for new immigrant families. FCSN will extend a hand of hope to these families through outreach events, support groups, service navigation training and personal mentorship. We expecting to support over a thousand families at our new center in the next couple of years.

Together with you, we bring love, hope, respect and support to our special needs community.
