FCSN School Clubs: A Mission of Support and Awareness of the Special Needs Community for Youth

“Channeling hope, support, and awareness toward the special needs community” serves as the core mission of 16 FCSN clubs across California, each fully dedicated to supporting the special needs community. FCSN’s Fremont Center Named “Chenming & Margaret Hu Center”

On April 12, 2022, FCSN unveiled a new name for their first Fremont Center: “Chenming & Margaret Hu Center” to honor Dr. Chenming and Margaret Hu for their on-going support and latest donation of half a million dollars to FCSN to help build better programs and improve its facilities. Scouting with FCSN, an Inclusive Social Event

In March 2022, Boy Scouts member Ricky Lin led a project in which special needs individuals got to experience the joy of scouting. Pilot Phase of Supported Living Services for High Needs Individuals

FCSN Supported Living Services has just begun its journey in branching out into including individuals with high support needs. On April 9th, 15 families attended a discussion to learn more about this program. FCSN has also completed the intake of two pilot clients. The program, while in its infancy, has significant potential in providing numerous families with the support they need. FCSN and BRI Spread the Importance of Giving Back to the Community

On December 22, 2021, FCSN held a Christmas concert in collaboration with BRI Youth Volunteer Group, a local non-for-profit organization based in Fremont. Aside from the concert, BRI has also been regularly leading a Reading Club for FCSN. Through collaborations such as the concert, reading club, and donations to FCSN, the two organizations are promoting special needs awareness within and beyond our community. Special Needs Talent Showcase Through the Years

Founded in 2015, the showcase gives special needs individuals the opportunity to display their talents, passions, and abilities. Through the pandemic, the showcase has faced its share of challenges. Warm and Precious Welcome Back

After the pandemic forced FCSN to move programs online for an extended period of time, the gradual ease in health and safety restrictions finally allowed FCSN staff to prepare for the reopening of in-person classes everyone has been looking forward to.
