On July 4th I went to FCSN parade day in Fremont. The parade was to celebrate Independence Day. I held the flags and followed the FCSN float.

There were lots of people at the parade. I saw my friends, Derek and Eric. I really enjoyed the music the Dream Achievers played.

This is my first time to attend a parade. I felt very excited!

On July 5th Derek, Iris, and I took the Caltrain from Sunnyvale to San Francisco. This is my first time taking the Caltrain. I sat on the second floor and the view was so beautiful. The seats were comfortable and very clean. I liked taking the Caltrain.

We went to San Francisco to watch the jazz festival. During the jazz festival I saw different bands singing, dancing and playing a variety of instruments like guitar, piano, saxophone and drums.

I also saw many arts booths. They sold paintings, crochet flowers and handmade jewelry.

I also saw delicious foods and drinks.

I had a fun time with my friends.

After the festival I went to Japantown and walked to Union Square. I took pictures with my friends in front of the heart sculpture. We took the Caltrain back home.

On July 18th I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my family.

I saw a school of fishes, and beautiful jelly fish, octopus, red crab, and otters. My favorite is the red crab.

Afterwards I hiked in Pacific Grove.

I saw many special trees, rocks and sea lions. The weather was cloudy and cold.

Next I went to Carmel by the Sea. I ate strawberry ice cream. I also bought a sunhat.

Finally I went to 17 miles. I saw a special tree called the Lone Cypress. I felt very tired but also very happy.
