Gary’s Blog #24 πŸŒΊπŸŒ‹πŸ’

I went to Hawaii Big Island with my family and my friend’s family. This is my first time visiting Hawaii.

Day 1

I went to Living Stones church. I prayed in church.

Afterwards I went to Hulihe’e Palace. The royal family lived there. I just looked outside. The garden was so beautiful.

I ate tuna steak with rice for lunch.

After lunch I walked to the Kona farmer’s market.

In the afternoon I went to Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park. I saw a green turtle. It was so big.

Day 2

I went to Volcano National Park. They have two volcanoes. I hiked in the Kilauea trail and saw the lava tube.

I also touched the lava. The lava was so hard. The color was black. Its shape was bumpy.

I saw a crater erupt. The color was orange. I felt very excited and scared.

Day 3

I stayed in the resort. I swam in the morning. The swimming pool was so cold. I felt very good.

I saw dolphin shows.

In the late afternoon I watched Legends of the Hawaii Luau. During the performance, I saw Hawaii traditional dancing, hula dancing, live drums and fire knife dancing. My favorite performance was hula dancing.

We also celebrated Collin’s birthday. We sang happy birthday songs to him.

I ate poke, beef ribs and kalua pig. They tasted very good. I also got a necklace.
